Kyra Caracciolo is a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate in North Carolina. She received her bachelor’s degree in social work, as well as a master’s in social work from the University of Central Florida. Kyra began her clinical work with outpatient clients in Florida. She has since focused her work with children ages 4-18 in multiple settings. Her experience has included working with children with extensive trauma history, family systems, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, PTSD, depression and more. Kyra uses Trauma focused Cognitive Behavioral therapy with children that have a history of trauma, which includes work with the family. She also incorporates CBT, play therapy, art therapy, mindfulness, and parenting support.
Kyra is passionate about supporting the child and family through difficult times. For children that have experienced trauma, her goal is to help them feel that they are more than their trauma experience, and to just enjoy being a child again. Kyra helps the child to enjoy their therapeutic experience by tailoring their sessions to their interests. She enjoys being artistic, creative, and playful as a part of their healing process.
When Kyra is not working, she spends her time with her fiancé and dog outdoors. Whether it’s a hike up the mountains or a trip to the beach or lake.
