During her graduate internship in High Point, she felt led to work with women’s and maternal mental health. It is important to acknowledge the emotional and mental well-being of mothers as vulnerability increases before, during, and after their pregnancy. Too often Postpartum Mood Disorder, miscarriage, stillbirth, infertility, and relationship difficulties are silenced and go unrecognized. Kelly advocates, welcomes and serves women and maternal population to find acceptance and hope through evidence-based treatments and holistic healing.  Simultaneously, Kelly completed numerous certified trainings through the Green Cross Academy of Traumatology for and is now able to provide EMDR Level 1 and 2 within the clinical setting.

In her counseling practice, Kelly reaches clients wherever they are on their journey towards healing. She strives to establish a safe and empathetic relationship and environment, while providing each client the opportunity to grow in their own unique way. Kelly has experience working with a variety of mental and emotional health issues, including: anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, grief, trauma, women’s/ maternal mental health issues (including infertility, miscarriage, postpartum, etc).
