Meet Anne Hampton

MG Pic Anne Hampton-Harden is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate in North Carolina who works with children, adolescents, and adults, ages 10 and older. Anne-Hampton is originally from Virginia, then completed her undergraduate degree at The University of Georgia before moving to Winston Salem in 2014. She then received her Master of Social Work degree from The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 2021. While in the social work program, Anne-Hampton completed two internships, one working with the foster care unit of a local children’s home, and the second working as an outpatient counselor for a public agency, where she discovered her passion for counseling. During this internship, she gained experience working with both adolescents and adults, assessing for trauma, and working with disenfranchised populations.

Since receiving her master’s degree, Anne-Hampton has been working as a private practice clinician with the goal of becoming fully licensed as a Clinical Social Worker. With a foundation built on enhancing each individual’s well-being, she approaches counseling empathetically and with a strengths-based mindset. While Anne-Hampton aims to utilize several different evidence-based practices including, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, etc., she also understands that each individual’s experiences are unique. Therefore, Anne-Hampton works to ensure a collaborative, therapeutic environment where goals are set in accordance with the individual’s hopes and needs. Her experience is in working with individuals, families, and couples, helping them better understand their range of thoughts and feelings and what can be done with these in moving forward towards healing.

From daily life stressors and transitions, to trauma exposure, we believe that all experiences are worthy of processing and addressing, and with this processing, growth and change are possible. As a clinician, Anne-Hampton’s priority is to create a safe and comfortable environment for her clients to feel heard and validated as they move through this process. Her goal as a counselor is to always walk alongside her clients with compassion and sincerity. When not at work, Anne-Hampton enjoys riding horses, exercising, travelling, and spending time with friends, family and her bernedoodle, Beezie.
