DEVELOP A LIFE WORTH LIVING!
Lewisville Family Counseling is excited to be offering two new
DBT Skills Groups, one group for adults and one group for
adolescents of high school age!
Join us for a 6-week group workshop where we will teach DBT skills to help you create a more fulfilling life. This group is perfect for individuals who struggle with substance use, eating disorders, borderline or other personality disorders, depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, or PTSD.
We will meet for 1 1/2 hours weekly for 6 weeks and will cover all 4 sets of behavioral skills:
- Distress Tolerance
- Emotional Regulation
- Interpersonal Effectiveness
Through activities, discussion, and some homework, you will learn how to be mindful (present and aware) of what you are experiencing, thus also gaining the skills to tolerate difficult emotions, manage your emotions, and communicate and interact with others more effectively.
Dates and Times:
Both groups will be starting in late January or February 2019, with specific dates to be determined. Call for more information!
The fee for the group is $240 ($40 per session), but a commitment must be made to attend all 6 groups, and the $240 is due upfront.
